Galen’s Story
Galen, a native of West Hartford, Connecticut, began his soccer journey at Oakwood Soccer Club in Glastonbury. Over 10 years, he played in the Development academy, leading three teams to the USDA Round of 16. This experience provided valuable insights into developing as a player in a non-MLS academy system. After Oakwood, he joined Fordham University (Division 1) in the Bronx, where he won conference tournament accolades, a Atlantic 10 championship, and led the conference in assists as a freshman. After 2.5 years, he transferred to Saint Louis University, earning National TOTW accolades. Last season, he played at Clemson University, reaching the ACC final and making a Round of 16 tournament run. This upcoming season, he aims to win the Sun Belt conference and secure a professional contract at the University of South Carolina.
"It truly is very fulfilling to help young players realize their true potential. Finding and helping players get the opportunities they desire is very special. Being from a small non-MLS Academy has given me so much crucial insight and experience in how to get to the next level and stay there even if you're not in a MLS Academy. Finding talent and teaching them how to work hard is the key to growing as a player"
